Mary Ann brings a unique blend of talents to Lyons Realty Advisors stemming from her 25 years of experience in the health and legal fields. As a nurse attorney, she provided consulting services to physician group practices in crisis who found themselves in need of an urgent transition to new tenant space and facilities. Those efforts included procuring suitable medical office building space, equipment and systems with rapid build outs including new staffing in some cases.

In her role as Senior Project Manager, Mary Ann has performed extensive due diligence work on complex municipal entitlement processes and has participated in multiple feasibility studies and site selection analysis for new developments including new hotels and senior living facilities as well as the purchase of existing facilities. Mary Ann’s expertise is in entitlement work which requires the coordination of development team members and consultants. She has spearheaded the public relations and consensus building required to address planning and zoning boards, city officials, state historic preservation officers and citizen action groups. Similarly, she orchestrates the synchronization of team members (Design, engineering, legal) to form a cohesive, unified message during the approvals process. Her experience includes obtaining entitlements through the US Army Corps of Engineers.

As part of the pre-opening team for hotels, Mary Ann can provide valuable coordination between contractors and operators to ensure a smooth transition during the administrative/operations office move in and FFE installation. Functioning as owner’s or developer’s representative, the LRA team is an integral part of the opening.

Mary Ann’s unique knowledge of healthcare is a valuable asset to LRA in the consulting services offered to developers and operators of senior care facilities from an operational point of view.
